ETHEX's mission statement, according to their company website, is to "be a leader in the generic/non-branded pharmaceutical industry by providing high quality, competitively priced products, and unparalleled value-added service". They have products that fall into eight different categories as follows: cardiovascular, women's health care, cough and cold, gastrointestinal, dermatology, hematinic, and digestive enzymes. With the most recent recall, the products in question were cardiovascular drugs. ETHEX specializes in producing generic drugs that are hard to replicate from the name brand and, thus, not available otherwise generically in many cases. Though this recall has certainly made consumers and doctors wary of their products, the company committed to quickly issuing a voluntary recall when need be, to help keep additional patients from becoming sick.
The ETHEX drugs involved in the recall were Propafenone HCl Tablets (150 mg, 225 mg, and 300 mg), Isosorbide Mononitrate Extended Release Tablets (30 mg and 60 mg), Morphine Sulfate Extended Release Tablets (15 mg), Morphine Sulfate Immediate Release Tablets (15 mg and 30 mg), and Dextroamphetamine Sulfate Tablets (10 mg). All of these medications were shipped prior to May 22, 2008, and they had expirations dates between November 2008 and March 2011. Check the official press release to read descriptions of the drugs that were recalled, and remember, if you are using any of these medications, contact your doctor if you need to stop taking them. Quick withdrawal, even missing just one pill, could be detrimental to your health.Contact Our Morphene Recall Lawyers Today »
