Study Demonstrated Long-Term Treatment with Zyprexa(R) Reduced Violent Behavior in People with Schizophrenia Compared to Risperidone
December 15, 2004 14:04
Long-term treatment with Zyprexa? (olanzapine) significantly lowered risk of violent behavior in people with schizophrenia versus risperidone (Risperdal?, Janssen), according to a study published in the December issue of the Journal of Clinical Psychiatry. Another 50 or so Zyprexa cases have been filed against Lilly in state courts and aren't part of the consolidated federal lawsuits. The earliest a state case could come to trial is mid-2005, Oltmans said.
