The first rule is call your lawery. The last rule is DON'T TALK at all to any insurance people without first consulting your lawyer. Consultin an injury lawyer is important to fully protect your rights.
Keep in mind how insurance companies make money. It is the adjuster's job is to reduce the amount that they pay out. That is how they are judged in their job. Don't be surprised when your own adjuster finds excuse after excuse to avoid paying, or paying you as little as possible.
Even when it is your own insurance company, this is what they are trained to do.
"The accident was not your fault..." but what you say van end up being turned against you later by the adjuster - even when they are from your own insurance company!!
Even though you're tell the truth, and even when you don't feel hurt right after an accident, saying that to the adjuster could be used agaisnt you later.
Talk to a lawyer before the adjuster. Often you will feel injured later.
Avoid damaging your case.
