What should I do?

I was hit by an uninsured driver... now what? The insurance company is telling me (told me) that "I don't need a lawyer..." What should I do?

You probably do need a lawyer. Insurance adjusters are professional negotiators. It is their job to settle claims for the smallest amount of money possible. Usually, you can benefit from the services of an experienced personal injury lawyer in this situation.
