Fatal truck accident in Lebanon, Pennsylvania

A woman was killed in a violent two-vehicle accident in Lebanon on July 13, 2007.

The county coroner pronounced the middle-aged woman dead around 10:45 p.m. Her name was not available by press time. The other driver, a man, was trapped inside his overturned truck but was able to crawl out with assistance from firefighters. He was transported by ambulance to a local hospital.

Witnesses said the truck, which was traveling south, pulled out from a stop sign and struck the car, which was traveling east. Witnesses called 911 at 9:58 p.m.

The car was pushed into a lawn on the northeast corner of the intersection. There were no passengers in either vehicle. The car's driver is the 11th person to die as a result of accidents on Lebanon County roads this year.
