Woman fatally struck by truck in Kensington Philadelphia PA

A woman was struck and killed yesterday afternoon after a flatbed truck slammed into her in Kensington.

Police said Thomasa Luna, 78, of the 400 block of Somerset Street, was attempting to cross the 2700 block of Kensington Avenue, from east to west, shortly after 4:30 p.m. when she walked in front of the vehicle traveling north.

Witnesses said she was alone when the accident occurred. (Philly.com)
