Seven Injured in Traffic Accident

Seven persons were injured Friday evening according to the California Highway Patrol after a Crestline man exited a left hand curve south of Mormon Springs on State Highway 18 and collided with at least three other vehicles.


Officer R. Jedlick identified the 50-year-old male driver as C. Turns who was driving a 2000 Ford pick-up at the time of the 5:20 p.m. accident. Reportedly, Turns was driving at 45-50 miles per hour northbound when for some unknown reason crossed the set of double yellow lines into the path of a car driven by a male driver identified as T. Oborny, 36, from San Bernardino. Oborny was southbound on Highway 18 in the number one lane when his 1988 Ford pick-up was struck.
