Check with your doctor if you have undergone Premarin treatment.
This is what the FDA has told doctors about the side effects of Premarin & Provera.
Stay Informed about Premarin.
The FDA suggested revising the label to include information about current approved uses Premarin. The suggested label states that if Premarin is solely prescribed for vaginal symptoms, health care providers are advised to consider the use of topical vaginal products. The suggested label recommends that if the products are prescribed for osteoporosis, women should be at significant risk for osteoporosis and that non-estrogen treatments should be considered inappropriate.
Make sure that you are carefully followed, and undergo periodic medical visits. SIDE EFFECTS, that may go away during treatment, include dizziness, lightheadedness, headache, stomach upset, bloating, nausea, weight changes, increased/decreased interest in sex, or breast tenderness. If they continue or are bothersome, check with your doctor. CONTACT YOUR DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY if you experience mental/mood changes (e.g., severe depression), calf/pain swelling, sudden severe headache, chest pain, trouble breathing, one-sided weakness, slurred speech, vision changes (e.g., change in contact lens fit, loss of vision), breast lumps, swelling of hands/feet, changes in vaginal bleeding (e.g., spotting, breakthrough bleeding, or prolonged bleeding), unusual vaginal discharge/itching/odor, or yellowing of the eyes/skin. AN ALLERGIC REACTION to this medicine is unlikely, but seek immediate medical attention if it occurs. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include rash, itching, swelling, severe dizziness, or trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist.
Report Premarin problems you
encounter with the use of Premarin. Premarin seems to be one of those love-it-or-hate-it products: women either say that Premarin is wonderful, or else they launch into stories of terrible headaches and other side effects. Women who took estrogen HRT's like Premarin for longer periods of time had a higher risk of developing ovarian cancer, and the researchers noted a 7% increase in risk associated with every extra year of estrogen HRT use.
If you have been damaged
