According to Wyeth, PREMPRO is now being offered in a new formulation that is promoted to provids women with relief from menopausal symptoms while using lower doses of hormones than other PREMPRO drugs, such as 0.625 mg/2.5 mg. Wyeth stated that they introduced PREMPRO 0.3 mg/1.5 mg as the lowest combination of conjugated estrogens (CE) and medroxyprogesterone acetate (MPA) available today.

Wyeth, the main defendant in these Prempro cases, offers estrogen and progestin in a single pill (PREMPRO), an estrogen-only pill (PREMARIN), and a vaginal cream (PREMARIN® [conjugated estrogens] Vaginal Cream).
On its website, Wyeth lists the following warnings that Woman need to know about PREMPRO, PREMARIN, PREMARIN.
- "Estrogens increase the chances of getting cancer of the uterus. A woman should report any unusual vaginal bleeding right away while taking these products. Vaginal bleeding after menopause may be a warning sign of cancer of the uterus (womb). Her health care provider should check any unusual vaginal bleeding to find out the cause. Do not use estrogens with or without progestins to prevent heart disease, heart attacks, or strokes. Using estrogens with or without progestins may increase a woman's chances of getting heart attacks, strokes, breast cancer, and blood clots. A woman and her health care provider should talk regularly about whether she still needs treatment with estrogens. PREMARIN® (conjugated estrogens tablets, USP) is used after menopause to reduce moderate to severe hot flashes and to treat moderate to severe dryness, itching, and burning in or around the vagina; and to help reduce a woman's chances of getting osteoporosis (thin, weak bones).
- "PREMPRO (conjugated estrogens/medroxyprogesterone acetate tablets) is used after menopause in women with a uterus to reduce moderate to severe hot flashes; to treat moderate to severe dryness, itching, and burning in or around the vagina; and to help reduce a woman's chances of getting osteoporosis (thin, weak bones).
