Have you or your loved one suffered from a blood clot or stroke or other life threatening side NuvaRing side effect?
NuvaRing birth control has life threatening side effects. They are:
- DVT (deep vein thrombosis)
- Blood clots
- PE (pulmonary embolism)
- Heart attack
- Sudden death
A venous thrombosis is a blood clot thrombus that forms within a vein. Such blood clots can cause heart attacks, strokes and sudden death. Thrombosis is a medical term for a blood clot occurring inside a blood vessel. A classical venous thrombosis is deep vein thrombosis or DVT which can break off and become a life-threatening pulmonary embolism (PE). DVT and PE are referred to collectively with the term venous thromboembolism.
Manufactured by Merck & Co., NuvaRing is a prescription flexible plastic vaginal ring that releases a low dose of hormones, progestin and estrogen for three weeks. The vaginal ring is removed for a week and that's when women get their menstrual period. The menstrual period will usually start 2 to 3 days after the NuvaRing is removed. After a one week break, you insert a new vaginal ring. It is important that you insert a new ring on the same day of the week as it was removed in the last cycle, even if your menstrual period has not stopped. NuvaRing prevents ovulation and inhibits sperm penetration by changes in the cervical mucus.
