Noncompliance: In a vehicle crash, the LATCH lower anchorage belt assembly can fail and separate when used in the rear-facing mode. These seats fail to conform to Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 213, Child Restraint Systems. Should the latch fail in a vehicle crash, the child could be seriously injured.
Corrective Action: Combi USA will provide owners an in home repair kit along with installation instructions free of charge. In the meanwhile, Combi USA is instructing the owners to only use the seat with the lap belt. Do not use the seat with the latch.
