Workers Compensation: How do I know I'm eligible?

Workers Compensation: How do I know I'm eligible? - http://jobsearchtech.about.com/od/laborlaws/l/aa100101.htm

Not everyone is eligible or entitled for Workers Compensation. First of all, in order to make a workers comp claim you must prove that you worked for the company that you are making the claim against. Secondly, your accident or injury must have occurred when you were at work. Your accident or injury must have occurred while you were doing your regular job duties and lastly, your accident or injury was job related.

You are not eligible for workers compensation if you intentionally injured yourself in order to get workers compensation. Or that you were breaking the law when you became injured. You would not be eligible for workers compensation if you were doing something at work that you were particularly ordered not to do. If you injured yourself while on drugs or intoxicated - at work - there's no workers comp benefits in your future.

All your injuries will be covered if you meet eligibility.
