Payment for Medical Exams

You are entitled to have the medical examinations paid for by your employer (their workers compensation carrier) if you are treating for an injury that occurred at work. In fact, you may also be entitled to payment of your travel expenses to and from that medical care. Some treatment could require pre-authorization. But in any event, you are entitled to the care that you need to get better. If your employer or their insurance carrier is contesting the right for you to treat, it is probably time to consult an attorney to see if you can force them to provide you with the needed medical care.
