The 911 communications center in Bucks is the largest facility in Pennsylvania and the sixth largest in the nation. This facility covers 54 townships and boroughs, 46 police departments, and over 100 volunteer fire departments and rescue squads, county sheriff, district attorney's detective division, state and county park rangers and others. In addition to the 19 radio consoles the room has 5 call taker stations. There are twenty five 911 lines, over one hundred 7 digit lines, including TDD/TTY lines for the speech and hearing impaired.
