The recall was due when Tutogen was unable to verify tissue received from Biomedical Tissue Services. Topics in the FAQ include: What tissue products are being recalled? How did Tutogen notify customers of the recall? Did I receive an affected product? Who pays for the cost of disease testing patients? What kinds of testing will be done? Other relevant biomedical tissue recall questions are included.

FDA regulations require that, before tissues are released for distribution, blood samples from each donor be provided to the testing laboratory for donor testing. Each sample should be clearly linked to an individual donor and each tissue clearly linked to that donor.
