Status of Class Action against Biomedical Tissue Services

Class Action Complaint, and most of the cases filed to date, have been removed to the Federal Court in New Jersey. All of the filings in the state of New Jersey, where the lead defendant Biomedical is located, are now being handled in the Federal Court in Newark by Judge Martini. The defendants recently filed a Motion For Transfer of all of the cases to an MDL (Multi District Litigation) coordinating Judge for uniform national handling in one Federal Court. It is anticipated that that Motion will be heard in May, and that it is likely that the cases will be transferred to the Federal Court in Newark, New Jersey from around the country
