Tissue Bank Industry Condemns N.J. Company

The president of the nation's tissue bank association condemned a New Jersey company Monday for its "unconscionable" role in a macabre scandal involving cadaver body parts and said he expects more criminal charges will follow.

Authorities haven't said how many patients may have received bone, tissue or tendons removed from bodies by BTS. In recent weeks, hospitals have said they contacted hundreds of patients who may have received tainted tissue.

Among the parts allegedly taken without consent were those from the body of 95-year-old Alistair Cooke, the legendary host of PBS' "Masterpiece Theater" who died of cancer.
