Can a Sibling be Sued for Injuries in Auto Accident?

Whether your sibling is a teenager or a senior citizen, there can be a lot of emotions and a lot of serious decisions that need to be made after the two of you have been involved in a Pennsylvania car accident.

You may be wondering whether you can, and whether you should, sue your brother or sister.

Generally, you may be able to sue your sibling for injuries sustained in a Pennsylvania auto accident if your sibling was legally at fault for the crash. Pennsylvania auto accident laws do not necessarily protect siblings from liability.

Additionally, you may be able to seek compensation for your injuries without any money coming out of your sibling’s pocket.  Often your injuries will be covered by Pennsylvania car insurance policies.

Have you ever had to sue a sibling for injuries sustained in a PA car crash? How did it work out for your family? Please leave a comment and let others know your story.
