Additionally, a very small number of cases of SUD have been reported in children without structural cardiac abnormalities who are taking Adderall.

At this time, the FDA cannot conclude that recommended doses of Adderall can cause SUD, but is continuing to evaluate these data. How many children must have adverse affects before the FDA takes action? Although the FDA is to blame for not acting in a responsible manner and applying warning labels or taking Adderall off the market like Health Canada has – the FDA is so far -- exempt of pharmaceutical lawsuits.

It’s a common occurrence for the FDA to be in the pocket of pharmaceutical giants. Shire Pharmaceuticals is no different than other pharmaceutical companies. They have an army of highly paid lobbyists that put pressure on the federal government while donating riches to Congress and the oval office. Who can resist?
