Pennsylvania Workers Compensation Lawyers - Case Form - Lawyers in Pennsylvania often become involved in workers compensation, to help an individual who has been injured while on the job. Pennsylvania Workers' Compensation laws are designed to ensure that employees who are injured or disabled on the job are provided with fixed monetary awards, eliminating the need for litigation. These Pennsylvania workers compensation laws also provide benefits for dependents of those workers who are killed because of work-related accidents or illnesses. Some Pennsylvania laws also protect employers and fellow workers by limiting the amount an injured employee can recover from an employer and by eliminating the liability of co-workers in most accidents. Pennsylvania Workers Compensation statutes establish this framework for most employment. Federal statutes are limited to federal employees or those workers employed in some significant aspect of interstate commerce.

Pennsylvania Wrongful Death Attorneys - A "wrongful death" occurs when a person is killed due to the negligence or misconduct of another individual, company or entity. A suit for wrongful death suit brought by a Pennsylvania lawyer is brought by the personal representative of the decedent's estate.

Pennsylvania has a civil "wrongful death statute," or set of Pennsylvania laws which establish the procedures for bringing wrongful death actions.
